You must provide the following supporting documents:

Step2: Submit the required documents to the ROC (Taiwan) Embassy/ Consulate (General)/ Representative Office in your country. 

Step3: Please go to MCU International Student Online Application System and upload the documents listed below:

The following items must be submitted with the application when applying to MCU:

1. TaiwanICDF Scholarship online application form

※Please upload at the Application Fee Section or Bank Statement in MCU System. (No Application Fee for ICDF Applicant)

2. A recent head-shoulder photo

3. Autobiography in English (Include My Education/ My Family/ My Hometown/ My purpose of studying abroad)

4. Study Plan in English (Include INTERESTS & CONCENTRATION/ GENERAL IDEA OF THE THESIS)

5. One clear copy of passport

※Valid at least for one year

6. One photocopy of official highest educational degree earned diploma with verification by Embassies/Representative Offices in the country where the documents are issued.

※English or Chinese verified version is also necessary if the original diploma is not in either language. Both the original and verified translated transcripts shall be submitted within two weeks after school begins.

※Certificate of enrollment is required if applicants are currently studying in the last semester of school.

7. One photocopy of official English YEARLY transcripts with verification by Embassies/Representative Offices in the country where the documents are issued.

※English or Chinese verified version is also necessary if the original transcripts is not in either language. Both the original and verified translated transcripts shall be submitted within two weeks after school begins.

※If applicants are studying in the last semester of school, required documents shall be verified after graduation.

8. Two letters of recommendation in English

※Please save the file either JPEG or PDF format. References should sign on the letter, and position titles and contact information should also be provided. Recommendation letters shouldn't be written by friends or family members.

9. Evidence of English proficiency:

※Applicants whose official national language is English are exempt from needing to supply these documents.

※TOEFL Paper test 500, TOEFL iBT 61, TOEFL CBT 173, IELTS 5 or TOEIC 550 or higher.

10. Please apply online.

Remarks:

1. Original diploma of highest degree or graduation certificate and original yearly transcripts must be in Chinese or English and verified by an ROC (Taiwan) Embassy/ Consulate (General)/ Representative Office.

2. Certified original copies of diploma and transcripts must be provided within two weeks after school begins. (The verified translated version is also necessary if the original one is not in Chinese or English.)

3. The above-mentioned documents should be saved in JPEG or PDF formats, named based on their contents and uploaded onto the corresponding blanks of the application system (http://apply.mcu.edu.tw/apply/index)

4. If applicants have ever attended to colleges or universities, certificate of enrollment and transcripts of the above-mentioned institutions are required for transferring credits.

5. TaiwanICDF Scholarship applicants are required to upload TaiwanICDF Scholarship online application form.

6. Gaining admission from the university does not necessarily mean that the applicant has also been given a TaiwanICDF scholarship. Only the applicant who receives the acceptance letter issued by the Taiwan ICDF is the scholarship recipient.
